Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., a man's series VII gold pocket watch with runic dial, N size, 15 jewels, stem wind and set, adjusted, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings and whiplash micrometric regulator in an 18 karat, yellow gold hunting case with engraved cipher on front cover and single sunk, white enamel dial, the figures spelling out the name "Robert Winter", blued steel umbrella hands, serial #208267, 146.2g TW, c1885.
CONDITION:
CASE: Minor dent, band; Dings and pin pricks; Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Bow worn; Crown worn; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, seconds bit; Cracks in dial, poorly stabilized with glue; Scratches minor to dial. HANDS: Minor loss to blue. MOVEMENT PLATES: Marks and scratches on plate; Regulator assembly with specks of oxide; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), low amplitude, needs service.
